Ingredients
  

Chicken & Noodles
  • 1 1/2 lb (680 g) boneless chicken, cut into strips
  • 1 large onion, cut into strips
  • 1 lb (454 g) spaghetti
  • Oil, as needed for frying
Family Sesame Dressing
  • 1/2 cup (120 mL) oil
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup (67 g) sugar
  • 1/4 cup (35 g) sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Whisk together the oil, soy sauce, sugar, and sesame seeds.
  2. Place the chicken strips in a bowl and toss with enough of the sauce to coat. Let stand while the pasta water comes to a boil.
  3. Cook the spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.
  4. Meanwhile, saute the onion strips in a large skillet until softened. Add the chicken and cook until browned and the center reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet. Pour in the remaining sesame sauce and toss until everything is evenly coated and hot.
  6. Serve immediately.
